Lifting can only be justified in extreme or emergency situations. All handling operations should be assessed and a safe method identified. This will ensure the health and safety of both employees and others, reducing and preventing occupational injuries.There are a variety of safe people handling techniques. It is assumed that the person is medically fit to be moved, that the bed has been secured by brakes etc and the bed height is adjusted to an appropriate height. Course ProgrammeThe course programme meets the legal requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulation 1992.
