First Aid Appointed Person (Skillsbase Training Course)

Overview

This is a course for companies where a first aider is not necessary. The minimum requirement is to appoint a person to take charge when someone is injured or ill, including calling an ambulance if required. This person must also then be in charge of looking after the first aid equipment and restocking the first aid box.

This programme can be delivered in the workplace, please ask for further information.

Legal aspects of health & safety at work
Management of an incident
Casualty assessment
Unconsciousness and the recovery position
Resuscitation, assessing the situation, procedure for calling an ambulance and the recovery position
Common accidents
Choking
Bleeding
Falls
Open questions

Assessment Method

Ongoing assessment throughout the course.

Duration

1 Day.

Qualification

First Aid Appointed Person Certificate.
